“À qui la rue?” (Whose Street?) is a comic about an alternative vision to Gatineau’s car dependent urbanism. The main character misses his first tram, he decides to walk Aylmer’s main street instead of waiting for the next one. During his journey, the reader will be shown an alternative world, our world, in which cars dominate the roads.
Is it possible to live in cities with streets where people are prioritized instead of cars? Where cyclists can bike safely? Where streets can be a place where we meet instead of transit? I think it is, but first, we need to imagine what that future could look like.
The comic is in French, an English version is planned.
